Chicken Pox

Audrey came down with chicken pox last weekend. It's been a relatively mild case as far as the pox themselves go - she only had five of them on her back, and they didn't seem to bother her at all. But, it was accompanied by a fever, terrible congestion and a bad cough that is persisting seven days later.

After a couple days, Aria picked it up too. She didn't get any of the pox on her skin though; she just got all the other symptoms (fever, runny nose, cough). We think she may have had a very mild case earlier, and maybe this is just an immunity booster.

So, the past week has been pretty rough. They've both woken up multiple times most nights since it came on. Audrey has woken up late at night a few times and been unable to go back to sleep for an hour or more. And, it has brought back Aria's night terrors as well, which we haven't seen any sign of for about six months.

Audrey made a few more strides this week, even while super sick. She learned to sing Twinkle Twinkle - the whole song, words and all. She sang the complete alphabet song today. And she can count to ten.

Aria is regularly wearing training underpants during the day. She is almost always going pee in the potty when we're at home, except if we're slow to get her nighttime pullup off in the morning. She still only wants to poop in a pullup though.
