quick update

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my little girl?

Today she was playing quietly while I was balancing our checkbook on the computer. All of a sudden I start noticing that she's singing the alphabet song. She apparently knows up to H now. Plus some of the later letters. She's very fond of the letter W - she kept saying it over and over. It must be fun to say.

Just as I was tuning in to the realization that she is learning her alphabet, I noticed her playing with the door handle. "Hmm," I thought to myself, "that's funny, earlier today Hosie mentioned to me that she thinks Aria will be able to open the doors soon." I had barely completed the thought when she got the door open, walked down the hall, giggled, and started going down the stairs. Ah... a [nother] new era begins.

I keep meaning to mention that she can count to twelve now too.

Potty time

Aria peed in the potty today. She asked to go (said "Aria potty"), then after a little bit of forthing & backing, she got on the potty, peed, and then said "All done."

Proud Daddy moment since it happened while I was alone with her. :)
