Gratuitous pictures of cuteness

Hosie and I have been home from work for the past couple days. It's spring break at her school, so I took some vacation time so we could all hang out together. We've mostly been running errands, but we have had some pretty good quality time. I caught Aria being a total ham while rolling around on the floor. I think she's getting used to the camera. :)

Clapping

The other thing I keep forgetting to mention: she's started clapping her hands now. That's been going on for probably the past week or so.

Also, we've heard a couple "d" sounds in there. Maybe even something that sounds like "da da" but we're not 100% sure. Baby talk doesn't really sound like anything else. It sounds like a b, d, and g all rolled up into one alien sound. Pretty cool.

More consonants!

Strangely enough, after that one day of "ba ba ba ba ba" she hasn't really said it much since then. But she's getting quite a range of sounds. She's said "ma ma ma" many times now. She's also made a few other consonant sounds like g and n. Still no "da da" but we're working on it. I say it to her and she tries to say it back, but she's having trouble making a "d" sound.

We had to get a new car seat because she outgrew her first one. It's pretty amazing how big she is now. Haven't weighed or measured her lately, not since her doctor appointment two weeks ago when she was 18 lbs 4 ounces and 26.5 inches long. She looks even bigger now. In just two weeks. It's crazy.
