2 months

Aria and Hosie, November 6th

Hosie and I are convinced that we have no brains left. The empty shells of our think tanks are rolling around in our heads like marbles. As the baby does, so do we. Eat. Go to the bathroom. Sleep (in small intervals). Fuss around. No time for anything else now.

Aria in the boppy, 2 months old, November 16th

The level of stress at my work has cranked up several notches. Also I'm on a different schedule now - I come home earlier on Mondays and Wednesdays to watch Aria while Hosanna is at work, and on Thursdays I stay late. Sometimes, *really* late - as happened yesteray. I got home at about midnight. Hosanna had taken a little video of Aria playing with a toy in her crib. There's a really cool dog toy that our friends Nathan and Sara bought for her, and so far, it's her favorite toy. She was batting at it and making it rattle. While I was at work. I came home and saw it on a video while she was asleep. I got really emotional about it. It was kind of a depressing scene. I hate thinking that my daughter is going to grow up while I'm at work.

One of Aria's favorite hangouts

Other than that, fatherhood is proving to be a real joy. I pretty much live for the weekends now, when I get to hang out with my family, breathe easy and slow down.

Happy 2 Months, Aria! She just gets more and more adorable--well worth the wackiness, I am sure! Love to you all...Doug and Jenn :)
